The first thing I did to prepare for my "new work life" of painting, was to sign up for a workshop. It had been a while, I was worried about having a plan, and I figured this was an opportunity to get fired up about my new career. It was important to me to find a workshop within driving distance and with a teacher whose work I admired. When I came across Randall Sexton's workshop at the Landgrave Inn in Vermont, (in late September!) I was ready to roll. Tomorrow on Artists Helping Artists, Leslie Saeta and I will be interviewing Randy. As I've told anyone who asks, he is not only a very fine painter- he is also a very fine teacher. I have to be honest, a workshop held at a charming country inn in Vermont during peak foliage season was enough to draw me in. What I found when I got up there was a painter who enjoyed the teaching as much as we enjoyed the learning. Lucky me! Join us tomorrow on AHA and you'll hear for yourself what I'm talking about. Noon EST... Join us! http://www.blogtalkradio.com/…/a-conversation-with-artist-r…

Hi Margaret I so enjoyed meeting you at the workshop with Randy. It was a wonderful few days with perfect weather. Most of all with great people. Would love to do it again next fall! Susan
