It's Day 2, and I already feel a bit behind schedule.
Today's painting is big, 30' x 36". Don't doubt me,that is big for a daily challenge! Rather than let you believe I dashed this off today, I confess that I've been working on it for some time now, but today I declare it done. Based on several studies done at the beach, this is another landscape abstraction. It was a day when the rains came and went but the seas were eerily quiet. On Cape Cod that's not unusual as we head into hurricane season. You can watch the barometer drop, it happens that fast. About two hours after I headed home, the skies opened. Luckily it was the pre-storm that I was after.

I hope you are not having the same abysmal weather we are in the UK. If you are, you have certainly captured the feeling in the atmosphere.

Evocative abstraction of the overriding deepness in color of the roiled sea yet the calm that precedes a hurricane.

So pretty! And love that it's Cape Cod. One of my favorite places. Hope you'll be on Artists Helping Artists more often. It's great having you and Leslie together.

Tee-rific non-representational painting Margaret! Love the blue, and the pink!
