Here you go, a teaser. (Hey, I have a wedding to get to!) Today I've gone into the plate, shadows and the all important frosting to get a handle on this mid-step cupcake. All I want to do is tackle the sprinkles, but that going to have to wait until the morning. The good news for me is that the longer this cupcake sits out, the more the raw materials get stale and that makes for a nice stable subject matter.

Hold it right there. Sprinkles. They're only called Jimmies if they're real semisweet chocolate. The pastel ones or any other chocolate impostors are called Sprinkles. And oh by the way, real Jimmies are very hard to find. That cupcake looks rather inviting, is it filled?
