Day 5 of 30

Out of the corner of my eye, I spotted these berries at our weekly Farmer's Market today. They certainly looked native, if you know what I mean. There wasn't any of that cellophane over the top, and the basket was made of thin strips of balsa wood. I considered asking exactly where they came from, since our season for them is in June... but wasn't sure it mattered all that much. They looked amazing, they smelled amazing, and even if they were less than spectacular tasting I figured I would be painting them tonight.

Sometimes you just have to go on appearances. I could go on about how that can be deceiving, but for the record, the strawberries were delicious. And if there are any left tomorrow, I may just paint them again.

I love the strawberries! You can almost smell them. I thought of the berry bowl you gave me for my birthday.
