Day 3 has held some surprises... Word to the wise: Do Not Ignore a black floater if one should cross your field of vision. Luckily, I did not ignore said floater, and a quick trip to the eye doctor now has saved me (we hope) a problem in the future. All that means for you is that I'm going to use a painting I did on Saturday, a painting I was hoping to keep it as a "just in case" spare. Which has come in very handy today, Day 3. I've tried to capture a view I sketched out in Idaho this past June. I'm not entirely thrilled with it, but it does have a bit of the tone I was after. Those magnificent Tetons, they were always there reminding me that there is a depth beyond what we see. The distance just goes on and on and on. And it's true, the yellows do just drop away.
