![]() I know that everyone is tired of hearing weather reports, especially from the Northeast, but I am thrilled to see bright blue skies this morning. After a quick blog, I'm heading into the studio to continue working on this still life. I'm operating on the hope that painting flowers will prime the pump, and get Mother Nature moving. It's March, after all. This month and last, I've been co-hosting Artists Helping Artists, with Leslie Saeta. I have to tell you, doing the research on the topics, and especially on potential guests, has been a pleasure. We have spoken with Robert Gamblin, (who changed everything I ever thought I knew about oil paints!), Joe McGurl (who got me thinking about painting in a 360 degree sort of way), and we've discussed the challenges and rewards of working a day job while trying to develop your art at the same time. Hey, no one ever said it would be easy. The next AHA show will be a conversation with Don Demers. Do yourself a favor and check out his paintings ahead of time… www.donalddemers.com Think of it as a little homework assignment, with big payoffs. He is just amazing, and a great guy as well. I promise you all a fantastic show this week!
