Today the temperature in Boston reached 96 degrees, and there are a lot of college students, my own included, who are pretty miserable in their dorm rooms tonight. I like to think that my daughter is seeking refuge in the a/c library, studying hard and getting the semester off to a good start. You can make up your own story for your own student, it works better that way.

With yesterday's watermelon and today's cherries, I'm sticking to that end of season theme. Besides, they were there in the cool of the refrigerator and it seems like an appealing subject matter.
